Inviting applications for the role of Sr. Principal Consultant – Splunk Engineer
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Splunk Engineer to join our India-based team. This role involves working closely with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to build and maintain Splunk solutions that deliver real-time insights into system performance, application health, and security posture. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Splunk administration, data onboarding, and dashboard development.
Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and manage Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud environments
Onboard data from various sources including servers, applications, cloud platforms, and network devices
Create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports tailored to operational and security needs
Optimize Splunk searches and indexing for performance and scalability
Troubleshoot ingestion issues and ensure data integrity across all sources
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support incident response and root cause analysis
Implement Splunk best practices for parsing, field extraction, and data normalization
Document technical processes, use cases, and configurations
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Level 1.5 of hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud
Strong command of SPL (Search Processing Language)
Experience with log management, SIEM, and data analytics tools
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Linux/Windows environments
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Preferred qualifications / Skills
Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Certified Admin)
Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) or ITSI modules
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001)
Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines
