Sr. Production Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Production Engineer is responsible for managing production activities related to fabrication, machining, and assembly, ensuring smooth shop floor operations, quality output, timely dispatch, and achievement of daily and monthly production targets.

Job Context

The Senior Production Engineer works on the shop floor and coordinates with the Assistant Manager, production team, quality, and operators to achieve daily production targets. The role involves monitoring productivity, quality, rework, scrap, ERP reporting, and maintaining 5S and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Read and understand fabrication, machining, and assembly drawings

· Plan daily production using Man, Machine, and Material (3M)

· Achieve daily and monthly production targets

· Update daily production status in ERP system

· Coordinate with Assistant Manager for rejection and rework

· Monitor and control scrap

· Conduct assembly-wise inspection and prepare reports

· Prepare and update work instructions

· Train new operators on job work

· Hold daily meetings with Assistant Production Engineer

· Track production progress and operator productivity

· Prepare daily and monthly production reports

· Plan job inspection and dispatch schedule

· Maintain 5S and safety on the shop floor

Knowledge & Skill:

• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
• Basic reporting and documentation skills
• Good communication and coordination skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
