SR. PROJECT ENGINEER

Primary Purpose of the Job:

Project management of assigned end to end projects. Leads in managing project execution, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. Ensures HSSE as top priority while maintaining compliance with internal and external standards and regulations for all assigned capital projects, covering all aspects from inception to commissioning and handover. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, safely, and in compliance with project requirements, specifications, and standards.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in project engineering and management of power generation / distribution / transmission projects.
• Clear understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution equipment, grid integration, and dependencies.
• Experience managing power projects as client/owner, preferably in the Middle East.
• Renewable energy projects experience will be added advantage.
• Membership of engineering / project management institution is an advantage.
• Demonstrate a “mastery” practitioner level in the project management aspects: initiation, feasibility studies, concept optimization, engineering definition, installation, operational aspects, construction, operation readiness, commissioning, and close-out.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contractual obligations effectively.
• Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of SAP-PS, Primavera P-6 will be added advantage.
• Effective communication and team building skills including report writing, presentations and management of meetings

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Master’s qualification will be an asset
