Sr. Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Engineering Management

• Review IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
• Coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Resolve technical issues and respond to RFIs.
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.

2. Project Execution & Site Supervision

• Supervise site engineers and subcontractors.
• Monitor daily progress and productivity.
• Ensure proper sequencing of works to avoid delays.
• Coordinate between civil, architectural, and MEP disciplines.

3. Planning & Scheduling

• Assist in preparation and updating of project schedule.
• Track progress against baseline program.
• Prepare 2-week / 4-week look-ahead plans.
• Identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions.

4. Cost & Commercial Awareness

• Monitor material usage and site productivity.
• Identify variations and prepare supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparation of interim payment applications.
• Support commercial team in cost control measures.

5. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
• Coordinate inspections with consultant/client.
• Ensure all works meet project specifications and authority regulations.
• Manage snagging and ensure timely closure.

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Attend client and consultant meetings.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams.
• Support Construction/Project Manager in overall project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7–12 years experience in construction / fit-out / MEP projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies.
• Good understanding of contracts and variation procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera / MS Project, and MS Office.
