General Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple electrical installation projects in new residential construction throughout the Indianapolis area from pre-construction through project close-out.

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, workforce allocation, and safety compliance while ensuring exceptional quality and client satisfaction. This role provides leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Foremen, and field teams and works closely with senior leadership to improve operational performance, safety, and profitability across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Manage multiple residential electrical construction projects simultaneously.
  • Oversee projects from pre-construction through completion and close-out.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Lead pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and project reviews.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with builders, general contractors, and clients.


Operational Management

  • Monitor job costing, forecasting, and project financial performance.
  • Manage RFIs, RFQs, change orders, and close-out documentation.
  • Coordinate with CAD/drafting teams regarding drawings and field updates.
  • Conduct regular job site visits to review work quality, progress, and safety.
  • Identify project risks and implement solutions.


Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and support Project Managers, Foremen, and field teams.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding of project management staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and establish development goals.
  • Promote collaboration between field operations, leadership, and safety teams.


Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with NEC standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Promote and enforce a safety-first culture across job sites.
  • Partner with safety teams to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

Specific Qualifications

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in residential or electrical construction project management.
  • 3+ years in a senior or multi-project leadership role preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and field operations.


Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.


Skills

  • Strong knowledge of job costing, scheduling, safety compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Procore, Buildertrend, or similar construction management software preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.


Language Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to support communication with field teams.


Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel to job sites throughout the Indianapolis and surrounding areas.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk active construction sites including uneven terrain and partially completed structures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to climb ladders or access elevated areas when required.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, etc.).


Work Environment

  • Combination of office work and residential construction job sites.
  • Frequent travel to job sites throughout the Indianapolis region.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and active construction environments.
  • Occasional extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
