Role: Sr. Purchase Engineer
Core Responsibilities:
Manages the technical procurement process, focusing on sourcing materials/equipment, evaluating suppliers (quality, cost, reliability), negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with engineering/production teams for timely delivery, focusing on cost-efficiency and quality standards, bridging technical specs with commercial needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential vendors; build strong supplier relationships.
Technical Liaison: Act as a bridge between engineering/R&D and suppliers to clarify technical specs and resolve issues.
Procurement Process: Handle RFQs/RFPs, technical/commercial bid evaluation, and purchase order generation.
Cost & Quality Control: Conduct cost analysis, seek savings, and ensure purchased items meet quality metrics (Production, Tool Room & with Quality team).
Order & Delivery: Oversee the entire order cycle, ensuring timely and accurate delivery; monitor inventory through ERP system.
Compliance: Ensure procurement activities follow internal policies and external regulations.
Documentation: ERP Systems, maintain records, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with standards.
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
Strong negotiation & communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of ERP systems.
Understanding of market rates and procurement principles.
