Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Diploma / B.E. Mechanical Engineer with 10–12 years of hands-on experience in Purchase & Vendor Development within the plastic machinery manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should have strong understanding of costing for machined and sheet-metal components, and solid exposure to inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and manage vendors for:
• Raw materials
• Machined components
• Non-ferrous castings
• Sheet-metal fabricated parts
• Conduct cost analysis for components and materials.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms & delivery timelines.
• Maintain supplier performance records and ensure timely material procurement.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet production targets.
• Manage and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure smooth functioning of ERP-based procurement processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in sourcing, cost reduction & quality.

Required Candidate Profile

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–13 years of experience in purchase or vendor development in plastic machinery manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of machined & sheet metal part costing.
• Experience in vendor negotiation and evaluation.
• Good understanding of ERP systems.
• Strong communication, analytical & decision-making skills.
