Roles and Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy aligned with the company’s project goals and budgetary constraints.
- Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, quality standards, and reliability.
- Ensure alignment of sourcing activities with project timelines and design specifications.
- Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for the company.
- Contract Management:
- Lead the negotiation, drafting, and management of supplier contracts.
- Ensure that all contracts meet legal and company requirements, and are executed in a timely manner.
- Monitor contract performance and manage any disputes or issues that arise.
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with the project management and design teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials and services to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans.
- Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Develop and manage the procurement budget for each project.
- Track and report on procurement expenditures, ensuring cost control measures are in place.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all sourced materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to conduct inspections and resolve any quality issues.
- Compliance and Sustainability:
- Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Promote sustainable sourcing practices, considering environmental impact and social responsibility.
Required Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Interior Design, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the interior design, construction, or architecture industry.
- Strong knowledge of materials, furniture, fixtures, and finishes used in interior design projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
- Understanding of sustainable and ethical procurement practices is a plus.
