Department/Role: Sr. Manager Purchase Location: Kolhapur Reports to: Operations Head Team Size: 6–10 Grade/Level: Job Purpose To lead the Purchase function for raw materials, packaging, consumables, and capital equipment, ensuring seamless supply chain operations, strategic sourcing, inventory control, cost reduction, and supplier development in support of continuous manufacturing excellence. Key Responsibilities  Lead all procurement activities, including raw materials, packaging, consumables, MRO, and capital equipment.  Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with cost reduction and supplier quality improvement.  Prepare raw material procurement plans based on inputs from PPC and production forecasts.  Manage sourcing and procurement of metals (Brass, Copper, BeCu, etc.), plastics (Polyamide, ABS, PBT, etc.), and packing materials.  Negotiate with domestic and international suppliers for best commercial terms and delivery timelines.  Analyse commodity prices, currency trends, and supply chain dynamics for procurement optimization.  Manage inventory planning to ensure continuous material availability while minimizing inventory carrying costs.  Develop and monitor minimum stock levels, reorder points, and MRP processes through ERP.  Conduct ABC analysis and manage non-moving inventory control.  Drive supplier audits, vendor development, and dual-sourcing strategies for critical items.  Collaborate with Quality team for supplier evaluation, rejection resolution, and compliance.  Lead periodic vendor rating, supplier meets, and best supplier recognition programs.  Ensure timely data sharing with Finance for payment forecasts and inventory MIS reporting.  Establish procurement SOPs, drive 5S in the department, and oversee HIRA and Aspect Impact assessments.  Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.  Monitor and report procurement KPIs (cost savings, inventory days, supplier PPM) to leadership. Educational Qualifications  B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.  Certification in Supply Chain / Procurement (preferred).  ERP/MRP system proficiency. Experience  12 to 15 years in procurement with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.  Experience in manufacturing (electromechanical/automotive/component industry preferred). Key Result Areas (KRAs)  Procurement Cost Reduction (% YoY).  Inventory Turnover Ratio.  Supplier PPM and On-Time Delivery (%).  Payment Forecast Accuracy (%).  Non-Moving Inventory Reduction (%).  Vendor Development & Rating Improvement.  Compliance with Minimum Stock and Reorder Levels.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹130,000.00 - ₹140,000.00 per month
