Overview
Property Management and Construction company is seeking an energetic and strategic Sr. Purchasing/Procurement Manager to lead our procurement operations and drive excellence across our supply chain. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of purchasing, sourcing, and supplier management, ensuring that our organization secures high-quality materials and services at optimal costs across our portfolio. You will leverage spend across the organization to optimize pricing benefits and terms of service by utilizing spend analysis, strategic sourcing, and purchasing strategies for goods and services. This individual will deliver consistent savings and value through effective negotiation and execution. This position will report to ownership, is in-person and is based in our Jersey City office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify and deliver opportunities to maximize cost savings, mitigate risks and enhance quality of services provided
  • Conduct comprehensive spend analysis, market benchmarking and category analyses across various categories
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and services across a diverse range of goods and services
  • Monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement across key supplier relationships and business units
  • Serve as a trusted business advisor, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support procurement-related decisions
  • Review and reconcile vendor accounts for accurate pricing
  • Cultivate relationships with vendors and internal departments as a liaison with an understanding of the needs of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of strategic sourcing experience, including purchasing strategy, contract negotiation and competitive price analysis
  • Required - Experience with property management and building construction activities, including experience in the following categories:
  • Building maintenance / repair services
  • Property management operations
  • Fixed assets / equipment purchases
  • Utilities / telecom
  • Office supplies
  • Food and Beverage
  • Strong analytical, project management and negotiation skills, with a record of delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with staff and leadership across all levels
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $85,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
