- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust automation frameworks using tools like Playwright and Selenium WebDriver with Java for end-to-end testing.
- Drive the automation testing strategy, incorporating best practices such as Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Data-Driven Testing (DDT) to enhance clarity, reusability, and scalability of test scripts.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test strategies and plans.
- Ensure thorough functional, integration, UI/UX, regression, and cross-browser/device testing across large-scale applications.
- Build and manage API test coverage using tools like Postman and REST Assured, ensuring all REST APIs are thoroughly validated.
- Utilize CSS/XPath locators and Page Object Model design patterns to increase test reliability and maintainability.
- Lead efforts in test data management including the use of mock data generators and scripting to support isolated, repeatable, and reliable test cases.
- Oversee defect lifecycle management by tracking and reporting issues via Jira, ensuring clear documentation, prioritization, and resolution.
- Mentor and guide QA automation engineers and analysts, enhancing team skills and output quality.
- Maintain traceability of test cases to business requirements, ensuring thorough test coverage and accountability.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes in alignment with evolving project and organizational needs.
- Participate in release planning, risk assessment, and quality assurance governance to uphold software quality standards
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance with a strong focus on automation testing, preferably in complex, data-driven application environments.
- Proven expertise in automation frameworks development using Playwright, Selenium WebDriver with Java, or equivalent tools.
- Hands-on experience with BDD and DDT methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in CSS, XPath selectors, and page object models for automation script development.
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing strategies.
- Solid understanding of test data management and use of mock data for testing.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira and agile software development processes.
