Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Sr. QS) – Payment & Contract Management

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor (Sr. QS) with strong expertise in payment management and contract administration within the Aluminum and Façade industry. The ideal candidate will possess 5–15 years of proven experience managing payment applications, interim valuations, contract negotiations, and post-contract financial control for complex façade projects.

This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial management, strict contract compliance, effective cost control, and timely project payments across both pre-contract and post-contract stages.

Key Responsibilities1. Payment Management

  • Review, assess, and certify payment applications from contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contract terms.
  • Prepare and manage interim valuations based on actual work progress and approved milestones.
  • Develop and monitor payment schedules to ensure timely processing and accurate cash flow management.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to payment claims and certifications.
  • Maintain accurate financial records reflecting real-time payment status and project cost exposure.

2. Contract Administration & Management

  • Review, interpret, and advise on contract terms and conditions during pre-contract and post-contract stages.
  • Assist in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contractual agreements in line with company policies and industry standards.
  • Support procurement activities by ensuring clear payment terms, scope alignment, and pricing structures within contract documents.
  • Manage variations, change orders, and scope changes, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and valuation.
  • Lead payment-related dispute resolution, minimizing financial risk and maintaining professional stakeholder relationships.

3. Post-Contract Financial Control

  • Prepare, negotiate, and finalize project final accounts in compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Reconcile all payments, variations, and claims to ensure accurate closure of project financials.
  • Provide periodic financial reports, cost forecasts, and payment status updates to senior management.
  • Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies related to cost overruns and delayed payments.

4. Stakeholder & Compliance Management

  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors on payment and contract matters.
  • Ensure all parties comply with contractual payment schedules, conditions, and performance obligations.
  • Support audits, claims assessments, and contractual performance reviews as required.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as MRICS / RICS or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

  • 5–15 years of Quantity Surveying experience with strong focus on payment management and contract administration.
  • Proven experience handling interim payments, variations, and final accounts for aluminum and façade projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of standard forms of contract such as FIDIC, NEC, or similar.
  • Experience in post-contract financial control, payment dispute resolution, and contractual compliance monitoring.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED13,000.00 per month
