Sr. React Native Developer

We are looking for a highly experienced React Native Developer to join our growing mobile engineering team. You will take ownership of mobile app architecture, deliver high-quality, scalable features, and lead technical decisions across the mobile lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mobile engineering excellence, security, complex authentication, and performance optimisation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-performance iOS and Android applications using React Native (0.8x+).
• Architect reusable, scalable code and modular UI systems.
• Implement advanced authentication flows: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, PKCE, SSO via Microsoft, Auth0, Okta, Google.
• Manage secure token storage, session/refresh flows, and in-app browser redirect handling.
• Solve browser-based SSO complexities: cookies, cache persistence, and redirect loops.
• Integrate complex APIs, analytics, push notifications, and third-party SDKs.
• Work closely with backend, design, and product teams to deliver seamless experiences.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues: JS bridge bottlenecks, memory leaks, native build failures.
• Implement and maintain state management (Redux Toolkit, Recoil, Context API).
• Optimise app performance across rendering, memory, and networking.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, GitLab, Firebase).
• Work with TypeScript, automated tests (Jest, Detox), and debugging tools (Flipper).
• Oversee App Store/Play Store releases, crash monitoring, and post-release improvements.

Requirements:

You must have demonstrable hands-on experience with:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building production React Native apps.
• Strong skills in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React patterns (hooks, context).
• Strong authentication expertise:
• OAuth 2.0, OIDC, IDP-based SSO
• PKCE, secure token storage
• Redirect/cookie/cache handling on mobile browsers
• Deep understanding of native ecosystems: Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle, CocoaPods.
• Experience building complex UI/UX and responsive mobile layouts.
• Strong knowledge of Redux, async programming, API caching, and offline-first strategies.
• Experience with:
• Deep linking & universal links
• Firebase (Auth, Crashlytics, Messaging)
• CodePush/OTA
• Push notifications
• Ability to debug performance issues, memory leaks, and crashes.
• Experience with CI/CD for mobile and DevOps collaboration.
• Strong debugging capabilities (Flipper, Charles Proxy, Android Profiler).

Nice to Have:

• Experience creating or extending Native Modules (Swift/Obj-C, Java/Kotlin).
• Exposure to Microfrontends or modular mobile architecture.
• Understanding of backend fundamentals or Docker.
• Experience integrating AI-powered features or real-time communication (WebSockets, voice, video).
