Job Purpose:
To originate, structure and manage financing solutions tailored for clients in the logistics, shipping, port and transportation sectors. The role focuses on supporting the growth of the bank’s exposure to the logistics value chain, while maintaining asset quality, compliance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Origination & Client Relationship Management

Develop and manage a portfolio of logistics-related clients (freight forwarders, port operators, 3PLs, fleet owners, warehouses, etc.)

Identify opportunities for asset-backed, receivables-based and project-based financing in the logistics sector

Conduct industry analysis and maintain up-to-date knowledge of logistics sector trends, regional infrastructure developments (e.g. Rail, port expansions) and policy reforms
2. Credit & Risk Analysis

Conduct detailed credit analysis, including assessment of borrower’s financials, business model, and collateral (vessels, trucks, warehouses, etc.)

Prepare credit proposals with risk mitigants and stress testing for internal approval

Ensure deals comply with internal credit policy, Shariah (where applicable), and regulatory standards (CBUAE, ESG)
3. Deal Structuring & Execution

Structure transactions including term loans, asset-backed finance, factoring, trade finance, and sale-leaseback models

Work closely with legal, risk and operations to ensure smooth execution and documentation

Implement ring-fencing strategies (cash sweep, DSRA, SPVs) to protect the banks position
4. Portfolio Management

Monitor performance of the logistics portfolio (delinquencies, utilization, market changes)

Conduct periodic client reviews
5. Strategy & Product Development

Support in designing and enhancing logistics finance products aligned with UAE’s and Global logistics and supply chain ecosystem

Collaborate with fintechs, port authorities, and regional government initiatives to create tailored offerings
Key Skills and Experience:

5–10 years’ experience in corporate banking, with at least 3 years in logistics or structured asset finance

Strong understanding of UAE’s logistics landscape (JAFZA, KIZAD, Etihad Rail, DP World, etc.)

Proven deal origination and execution track record in logistics, transportation, or infrastructure sectors

Proficiency in credit analysis, financial modelling, and legal documentation

Exposure to ESG-linked financing or green logistics finance is a plus
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business (MBA or CFA preferred)

Strong communication and client engagement skills
