Join Our Team as a Respiratory Therapist!
UPMC Lock Haven is seeking dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapists to join our Night Program. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment while utilizing advanced technology to deliver high-quality respiratory care.
In this role, you will provide respiratory therapy services and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions under the direction of a physician. You will care for patients across all populations and service areas, making a meaningful impact every day.

Primarily night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)

May require occasional day shift rotation (e.g., training, competencies, staffing needs)

Occasional weekends to support vacation coverage (subject to change based on staffing needs)

Holiday rotation (every other or as assigned)

Must maintain 36+ hours per week

Commitment to work the majority of scheduled shifts during off-shift/night hours (8- or 12-hour shifts)

Eligible participants receive an additional $2.00/hour night program differential, in addition to standard shift differentials

Daytime hours (meetings, training, etc.) are paid at the base rate without the Night Program differential

Employees not enrolled in the Night Program are not eligible for the additional differential

New hires may transition into the Night Program following 6 months and successful completion of orientation period

Sign-On Bonus:
-
$15,000 (0–1 year experience) – 2-year commitment
-
$20,000 (1+ years experience) – 2-year commitment
-
Additional $10,000 incentive after completion of year 3 (limited-time offering)

Provide respiratory therapy treatments, life support, and diagnostic services
-
Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment (ventilators, gas delivery systems, etc.)

Monitor patient responses, including vital signs, ABGs, and clinical status
-
Perform pulmonary function testing and assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy

Respond to emergency situations, including code events and ventilated patient transport

Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize treatment plans

Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure equipment functionality

Serve as a resource and mentor to staff and students

May function in a Charge/Lead role as needed

May be required to float between campuses based on operational needs

Must maintain annual competencies and active state licensure

BLS certification required
