About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to join our team in the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in end-to-end procurement operations, supplier management, cost optimization, and supply chain coordination within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

This role requires strategic thinking, negotiation expertise, and the ability to ensure timely procurement of high-quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, and other FMCG-related requirements.
• Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships to ensure quality consistency and uninterrupted supply.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and service agreements to achieve cost savings and favorable business terms.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and audits.

Sourcing Strategy

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to monitor price trends, availability, and alternative sourcing options.
• Optimize procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead time.
• Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing new ingredients and packaging solutions.

Procurement Operations

• Manage end-to-end procurement cycle: RFQ → Vendor Selection → PO Creation → Delivery → Payment Coordination.
• Collaborate with Production, QA/QC, Logistics, R&D, and Finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock-outs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and procurement records.

Cost & Performance Management

• Analyze procurement spend data and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Track procurement KPIs including cost savings, supplier performance, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and present periodic procurement performance reports to management.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier reliability, quality issues, and supply chain disruptions.
• Maintain proper documentation of contracts and agreements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in sourcing and procurement within the FMCG industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and procurement best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in international sourcing and global supplier coordination.
• Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and ethical procurement standards.
• Exposure to FMCG product development sourcing requirements.
