Job description
Responsible for driving the specification of the company’s construction chemical solutions into key projects by working closely with consultants, architects, engineers, and clients in GCC Regions.
Ensures that the company’s systems and products are favourably positioned in project specifications and comply with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements
Generate and follow leads, secure Fosroc product specifications from consultant engineers, architects and clients as appropriate.
Provide specification support to the sales department for ongoing contracts when so required.
Analysing the incoming projects data.
Providing necessary suggestions and explanatory drawings to the customer.
The role combines deep technical knowledge with strong communication and coordination skills.
Responsibilities
Develops and adapts product specifications to meet client needs, provides technical support, and stays updated on industry standards and product advancements in the construction chemicals field
To actively participate in setting and implementing processes that will deliver the HSE standards.
Ensure all specified solutions comply with environmental, safety, and performance criteria as per the required regulations.
Prepare and deliver technically sound specifications tailored to project requirements.
Ensure correct and favourable inclusion of company products in project documents, including tender and IFC packages.
Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and bill of quantities to recommend optimal solutions.
To produce such budget prices, written specifications and technical documents as may be required to win product specifications.
To manage the product specification process in such a manner as to ensure timely document submission.
To closely liaise with other members of the sales and specification teams when calling on contractors who may be preparing tenders for contracts in order that a Fosroc product submission can be made.
Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, specifiers, authorities, and contractors.
To produce, conduct and deliver such technical presentations, drawings , lunch & learn sessions, and site mockups when required.
To produce and deliver such product training presentations as may be required by Fosroc staff or customers.
To introduce new products to major Contractors, Consultant, Engineers, Architects and Client bodies as may be directed by the jobholder’s line manager.
Provide technical support during design, tender, and post-tender stages.
To pass and circulate to the appropriate personnel, all pertinent information obtained from the marketplace.
To assist in the forecast process for product demand.
To assist in the budget preparation and market studies.
To report activities in such a manner and at such intervals as may be dictated by the jobholder’s line manager.
Collaborating with various teams, including sales, new product development, PSM and project teams, to ensure that construction projects utilize the correct and most effective chemical solutions.
Identify and track high-value construction projects from early design stages to execution.
Utilize CRM and project tracking tools to manage pipeline and ensure timely specification follow-ups.
Support technical marketing team with content development, technical brochures, and product positioning strategies.
Help in registrations as require.
To timely follow incoming tender inquiries and making sure that we have all the relevant data that will assist in securing the job when the project is awarded.
Skills required
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in technical specification or product management within the construction chemicals industry.
Proven track record in securing specifications for high-profile projects.
In-depth knowledge of construction practices, materials selection, engineering standards and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with project design workflows and key stakeholders in the construction ecosystem.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD (basic), and CRM systems.
Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and result oriented.
Preferably management course and Sales.
Fluent in English and Arabic
