Job Summary:
The Senior Structural Engineer- Steel will lead moderate-complexity steel-structure designs for power plants, substations, and energy Projects, mentoring junior engineers, refine design methodologies
Responsibilities:

Lead analysis and detailed design of steel frames, trusses, and composite decks, slabs, beams, columns.

Optimize section sizes and connection details for cost effectiveness and constructability.

Review and stamp steel design packages in line with client specs and code requirements.

Mentor junior engineers on code application, QA/QC procedures, and best practices.

Provide commercial input on steel tonnage estimates, risk areas, and cost assumptions during tendering.
Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering

Registered engineer with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate or equivalent professional body

5 years of steel structure experience in the energy, Industrial Projects.

Proficiency in local codes (ECP), Eurocode, AISC LRFD – U.S. steel design standard

Fundamentals of fabrication, welding standards, and erection sequencing for industrial and utility steel structures.

Basic understanding of power-plant and substation structural layouts and loadings
