Sr. Store Keeper

Job Brief:

Are you an experienced Senior Storekeeper with a strong background in construction, heavy industries, or large-scale warehouse operations? Do you have hands-on experience managing ERP-based inventory systems and supervising store teams in the UAE or GCC?

If so, you are the professional we are looking for.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading construction organization in the UAE, where you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end store operations, maintaining accurate inventory control of construction materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating closely with procurement and project teams to support seamless site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

  • Monitor, control, and maintain accurate stock levels of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts, quarterly and annual stock takes) and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Update inventory records in ERP or inventory systems ERP Systems.

Receiving & Inspection

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and quality specifications.
  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to procurement and ensure corrective action.

Storage & Documentation

  • Ensure safe, systematic, and organized storage of materials according to standards.
  • Label and tag items for easy tracking and identification.
  • Maintain and file all store-related documents: GRNs, gate passes, material issue slips, returns, etc.

Material Issuance

  • Issue materials to construction teams based on approved requests.
  • Prepare and maintain issuance reports and consumption records.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports of stock status, material movements, shortages, and consumption trends.
  • Liaise with procurement, project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to forecast requirements and avoid stock-outs or overstocking.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure store operations comply with UAE safety policies, company procedures
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free store environment.
  • Manage disposal or return of expired, obsolete, or excess materials.

Supervision & Team Support

  • Supervise junior store staff: store assistants, dispatchers, and helpers.
  • Train team on inventory procedures, safety rules and ERP usage.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

Education

  • Minimum Diploma, Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain/Business preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years storekeeping experience, with at least 2 years in construction or heavy industries in UAE or GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes, material handling, and warehouse operations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in inventory systems or ERP software.
  • Excellent record keeping and documentation skills.
  • Good communication (English, Hindi ).
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Certifications (Advantage)

Inventory/warehouse certifications

Job Location: Dubai

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: Upto AED 4500/Month
