Amazon MGM Studios is the movies and television development and production arm of Amazon. In service of Amazon's Prime Video customers globally, it is our role to produce and acquire content, including popular Originals such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Boys, Fallout, Mirzapur, The Family Man, Four More Shots Please!, and Farzi.
Within Amazon MGM Studios, the International Original Strategy team is seeking a highly analytical and strategic thinker to join as a Sr. Strategy Manager in Mumbai, India. This role will focus on content strategy for Indian Original series and movies on Prime Video, including the facilitation of greenlights. The Sr. Strategy Manager will work closely with senior leaders across creative development, production, business affairs, finance, programming, and marketing, and will have a high degree of visibility within the organization. We are seeking a candidate who has a strong understanding of the movie and television business, proven analytical skills, and an ability to clearly communicate findings to senior management. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving.

Key job responsibilities
- Evaluate Indian Original projects being considered for greenlight
- Assess the financial and strategic considerations of various movie and television opportunities, and release models
- Analyze Prime Video viewership data to surface insights and inform senior leadership decisions
- Author content strategy documents providing recommendations on slate planning, quarterly business reviews, content investments, new business models, and 'think big' opportunities
- Serve as a knowledge center for Indian Original local and global performance, forecasting methodologies, and performance reporting
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
- Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects
- 4+ years of management consulting, strategy, technology, venture capital, or a related industry experience
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data, with the ability to transform data into actionable insights
- Multiple years experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a similar role within the media and entertainment industry
- Proven analytical skills, including experience using complex modeling to inform key business decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior leadership
- Excellent business judgment and an ability to think strategically and help build execution plans
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data. Must be highly proficient in Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Relevant experience working in movie or television content strategy, or in a similar fast-paced, high-impact strategy role in the media and entertainment industry
- Passion for movies, television and the business of entertainment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across business teams to deliver business results, experience in project management across multiple teams in an organization
- Demonstrated success in influencing cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders and leadership across teams.
- Strong bias for action and sense of urgency; the ability to make things happen quickly
