We’re actively seeking a talented Sr Systems Analyst to join our CMD Life Web Team in Newport Beach, CA .

As a Sr. Systems Analyst you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by partnering with business, marketing, compliance, and technology teams to deliver high-quality, policy owner and producer facing websites and web applications across the life insurance value chain. This role is responsible for translating business objectives, regulatory requirements, and user needs into clear functional and system requirements that enable scalable, secure, and compliant digital solutions. You will fill a new role that sits on a team consisting of 10 people. Your colleagues will include business analysts, systems analysts, engineers and QA, working closely with business partners from product, sales & marketing, operations, and underwriting area.

How you’ll help move us forward:
Drive clarity and alignment across customer, agent, marketing, compliance, and technology teams by translating business goals into actionable website and application requirements

Accelerate delivery of website enhancements by producing well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and dependency mappings for Agile teams

Improve customer and agent digital experiences by optimizing user journeys across quoting, onboarding, policy servicing, and self-service capabilities

Enable faster time-to-market for digital features and content changes through improved backlog prioritization and release readiness

Ensure regulatory, legal, accessibility, and brand compliance are embedded into website and application design from the outset

Strengthen integration between websites and backend insurance systems, enabling seamless data flow and real-time interactions

Improve website performance, reliability, and scalability by defining and validating non-functional requirements

Enhance data quality and insight by ensuring accurate analytics, tagging, and event tracking across digital properties

Reduce rework and production defects by supporting thorough UAT, content validation, and cross-browser/device testing

Support digital modernization initiatives by enabling scalable, API-driven and cloud-ready web architectures

Increase operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for automation and reuse across web platforms

Elevate Agile maturity for digital teams through strong backlog hygiene, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement practices

The experience you bring:
5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting enterprise websites and web-based applications in regulated industries, preferably life insurance

Hands-on experience delivering customer-facing, agent-facing, and internal web portals across the life insurance value chain

Proven ability to translate business, marketing, compliance, and operational requirements into clear functional and system requirements for web applications

Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum teams delivering iterative enhancements to websites and digital platforms

Experience defining user journeys, personas, and end-to-end workflows across web and backend systems

Demonstrated experience collaborating with UX/UI designers to ensure usability, accessibility (WCAG), and brand standards are met

Solid understanding of web technologies and architectures, including front-end frameworks, APIs, content management systems (CMS), and backend integrations

Experience integrating websites with core insurance systems such as policy administration, underwriting engines, CRM, and document management systems

Experience defining and validating non-functional requirements, including performance, security, availability, SEO, and scalability

Familiarity with analytics, tagging, and data capture (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) to support business insights and optimization

Experience supporting A/B testing, personalization, and conversion optimization initiatives

Strong understanding of security, privacy, and regulatory considerations impacting life insurance websites (PII, consent management, accessibility, disclosures)

Experience supporting UAT, content validation, and cross-browser/device testing for web applications

Proven ability to manage dependencies and impacts across multiple web applications and shared services

Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge marketing, business, UX, and engineering teams

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$110,700.00 - $135,300.00
