About the role:
Type: Full Time Salaried
Compensation: $76,000 to $114,800
Location: Fully Remote, must be in the United States
Hours: Full Time Days

What to Expect:
This position is a key individual contributor role on the Finance team and is responsible for certain accounting matters, including the month end close and reporting, annual accounts production, external audit liaison, tax compliance and reporting, external audit liaison, system development, internal process reviews and ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities:

Prepare tax provision calculation and associated accounting.

Work with tax advisers on annual returns and filing – both Federal and State.

Work with Payroll team and payroll tax filings as applicable.

Reconciliation of deferred and temporary differences between Book and GAAP.

Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled and supported.

Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.

Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports as required.

Will provide support and assistance to external auditors.

Using system functionality, look to drive efficiencies from the month end process and implement best practices.

Research tax and accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy.

Ensure company stays on top of new tax legislation, both federal and state, including payroll.

Interface with other departments including HR, FP&A, A/R, A/P, Tax, Treasury and Payroll

Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Participate in the implementation or upgrade of accounting systems and software.

Other projects as directed.
Qualifications:
Must Haves:
- Over seven years of tax and accounting experience, with at least four years in a large public company.

Public accounting experience, preferably within a Big Six firm.

Experience of federal, state and local taxes for corporates.

Experience of payroll taxes.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA designation is preferable.

Tax compliance and accounting experience required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with internal and external counterparts.

Proven ability to work within a team environment.

Excellent math and analytical skills.

Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to maintain composure while dealing with tight time constraints.

Strong knowledge of Accounting Systems/ERP and their development. Preference given to applicants with a knowledge of NetSuite.

Strong skills in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
