SR. TECHNICIAN

Job Purpose

Perform all preventive, proactive and condition-based maintenance of all equipment / machinery owned by EKFC in collaboration with the team of Technicians with minimal supervision and independence to ensure functional reliability of the EKFC machines and equipment catering 24/7 Operational and Production requirements.

Key Result Areas

1. Conduct preventive and proactive maintenance, by leading a team of technicians where required, to identify and resolve underlying faults in equipment ensuring compliance to relevant safety and quality standards to minimize breakdown maintenance.

2. Train and develop technicians on specialized equipment to prepare them to able to carry out maintenance work safely and independently.

3. Identify and resolve technical faults of equipment / machinery in coordination with end users with minimal recovery time.

4. Carry out proactive technical inspection on machines as well as based on the fault reported by the end user, confirm whether the fault persists, identify the root cause, implement corrective and preventive actions.

5. Collaborate with the stakeholders to proactively address potential risks associated to People Safety, Food Safety, Environment and Equipment Safety.

6. Participate in the accident investigation procedures to identify the root cause, provide technical feedback to the end users to avoid reoccurrence.

7. Deliver high level of technical expertise and competency to perform accurate troubleshooting and diagnosis to rectify the major breakdowns with minimum down time.

8. Ensure the breakdown response priority matrix and recovery KPI*s are achieved to deliver the required levels of quality and service.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience

Education Qualification:
a) ITI or Diploma or equivalent technical qualification (must have).

b) Technical certification in Electronics/Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

c) Training from Industrial Machines related to Automation, Catering, MEP or Refrigeration.

Work Experience:
a) Minimum experience of 5 years in similar role in Industrial Machines related to Automation, Catering, Steam Boilers, Laundry or Refrigeration.

b) Able to diagnose and troubleshoot industrial machines without impacting the operation or production

c) Knowledge and technical expertise of Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.

d) Knowledge of methods and techniques of performing advanced diagnostic troubleshooting services.

e) Machines VFD, PLC and Control Boards troubleshooting and parameters adjusting.

Skills:
a) Should be well versed in written and spoken English.

b) Trained in First Aid, Safety/ basic firefighting (preferred)
