SVP, Health Digital

Edelman is seeking a Senior Vice President of Health Digital to lead digital work for major pharmaceutical clients, with a focus on sophisticated, compliant branded and unbranded digital marketing. Health Digital sits at the intersection of Edelman Health and Edelman Digital, using cutting-edge digital and social approaches to solve health clients’ business challenges. The ideal candidate brings deep pharma experience across HCP, patient and caregiver audiences, including omnichannel campaigns, indication-specific content, ISI and fair balance, and MLR processes for digital.

This role serves as the digital lead on assigned accounts, acting as the primary digital point of contact and strategist while coordinating subject matter experts from across the digital team to deliver fully integrated programs. The SVP sets the vision, pulls in the right capabilities at the right time and ensures the work comes together as a cohesive, high-performing digital ecosystem. Depending on the assignment, this role may serve as the digital lead or as overall account lead. Success will be measured by organic and digital growth, new business wins, and the ability to design and orchestrate integrated digital ecosystems across .com and condition sites, CRM, paid media, SEO, GEO, and social that advance client objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead digital strategy across branded and unbranded pharma marketing, from .com and CRM to paid media, SEO, and social.

  • Translate business challenges into digital-first solutions—grounded in compliance, creative storytelling, and measurement.

  • Partner with cross-functional SMEs (e.g., UX, analytics, media, CRM, content) to ensure seamless execution and integration.

  • Navigate pharma regulations (e.g., MLR, ISI, fair balance) to design experiences that are compliant, engaging, and effective.

  • Guide clients through omnichannel strategy and experience design—across touchpoints and customer journeys.

  • Operate as a trusted advisor, simplifying complexity and connecting digital efforts to business outcomes.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire diverse teams to grow talent and elevate performance across digital and integrated disciplines.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Deep pharmaceutical marketing expertise (HCP, patient, caregiver)—with experience in omnichannel campaigns and regulatory environments.

  • A proven track record of leading digital marketing strategy across large, matrixed accounts in healthcare or pharma.

  • Expertise in orchestrating integrated digital ecosystems—from web and CRM to paid, earned, and owned media.

  • Fluency in MLR processes and comfort working within highly regulated spaces.

  • Ability to guide cross-functional teams with clarity, empathy, and impact.

  • Strong executive presence with consultative skills and client-facing experience at the senior-most levels.

  • A growth mindset—with an eye for organic growth, team development, and business transformation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 12+ years of health digital experience in an agency setting
