Sr Web Engineer (Core PHP_

Job description:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Core PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in Core PHP programming, working on backend systems and custom-built platforms. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building from the ground up, working without relying heavily on PHP frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Core PHP.
• Develop and manage custom PHP-based web applications without heavy reliance on frameworks.
• Debug and resolve bugs, performance issues, and security concerns.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to integrate functionalities.
• Strong proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React).
• Solid understanding of databases (both relational and non-relational), as well as experience with version control (e.g., Git) and developing/consuming web services.
• Adept at writing testable, reusable, and efficient code, following best practices and design patterns to build scalable solutions.
• Experience implementing robust security measures, including data protection and secure storage solutions, in line with latest industry standards.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, providing timely technical support and handling urgent issues even outside of normal business hours.
• Familiarity with modern architectural trends such as microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and serverless environments is a plus.
• Experience documenting development processes, including database schema designs, APIs, and system reports.
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance, and the fundamental principles behind building centralized, scalable architectures.
• Passion for continuous improvement, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and demonstrating a drive to develop innovative ideas.
• Skilled in integrating multiple data sources into a unified system and optimizing them for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Write and maintain proper documentation for code, processes, and systems.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Core PHP development.
• Solid understanding and application of OOP concepts in PHP.
• Strong experience in working with relational and non-relational databases.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic front-end integration.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.

The position is available within VT ISB & PSH Offices, The ISB Office is adjacent to G-13 Metro Station Srinagar highway, whereas the Peshawar Office is at Jawad Towers, Uni Road - you can switch to any at your convenience.
