Sr.Staff Nurse

Senior Staff Nurse – ICU / CCU / NICU / Emergency

· Provide comprehensive and specialized nursing care to critically ill patients.

· Monitor and record vital signs, ECG, oxygen saturation, and other clinical parameters.

· Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and infusions accurately.

· Assist doctors during procedures like intubation, suctioning, central line insertion, and resuscitation.

· Perform CPR and respond promptly to all emergency calls and code blue situations.

· Maintain strict aseptic techniques and follow infection control protocols.

· Operate and monitor critical care equipment – ventilators, infusion pumps, defibrillators, cardiac monitors, incubators (NICU).

· Ensure proper maintenance and readiness of all emergency equipment and supplies.

· Supervise and guide junior nurses, nursing assistants, and support staff in the assigned unit.

· Delegate tasks effectively and ensure all nursing protocols are followed.

· Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and other departments for smooth patient management.

· Conduct proper handover and takeover at shift changes.

· Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care and patient records.

· Participate in audits, quality improvement, and infection control programs.

· Ensure adherence to NABH and hospital standards in patient care.

· Train and mentor new nursing staff and students in critical care procedures.

· Handle medical and cardiac emergencies with confidence and professionalism.

· Maintain emergency drug tray and ensure availability of life-saving medications.

· Report malfunctioning of equipment and ensure timely rectification.

· Maintain discipline, punctuality, and a professional attitude at all times.

· Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality during all nursing activities.
