About the Role

We are hiring a Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire, part-time role supporting multiple fast-paced managed-services clients. This is a hands-on position focused on accurate day-to-day accounting execution and strong follow-through. You’ll work closely with a Leadership and follow defined processes, checklists, and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage day-to-day accounting in QuickBooks Online and Odoo
  • Maintain accurate coding and documentation
  • Own bank/credit card reconciliations and maintain clean, audit-ready support
  • Monitor AR aging, payment timing, and collections follow-up
  • Manage AP workflow and ensure payments align with cash priorities and approvals
  • Support payroll processes by validating hours/summaries prior to processing
  • Drive a smooth month-end close and ensure timely, accurate financials
  • Build and analyze reporting: cash position, trends, exceptions, and variance analysis
  • Identify risks, errors, or process breakdowns early and propose fixes
  • Maintain and improve SOPs, internal controls, and workflow consistency across systems

Required Experience

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience (bookkeeping + close)
  • QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Odoo (required)
  • Strong AP/AR experience and confidence working in high-volume environments
  • Strong reconciliation skills and month-end close ownership
  • Comfortable producing and explaining financial reports (cash flow, AR/AP, trends, variances)
  • Able to work independently, communicate clearly, and stay organized on a remote team

Preferred Experience

  • Sage Intacct experience
  • Consulting/managed-services or multi-client support experience

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
