Staff Accountant

Minted Content is an award-winning television commercial production company based in Santa Monica. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to handle production accounting across commercial projects in a fast-moving, collaborative commercial production environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the production process, supporting multiple projects, and working closely with producers, coordinators, and vendors to keep financial operations running smoothly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable for commercial productions
• Handle vendor invoices, deposits, wire payments, and check runs
• Maintain organized production and accounting files using Egnyte
• Process employee cash, credit card, and expense reimbursements tied to productions
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and general ledger account tracking
• Prepare reports and schedules related to production spend and expenses
• Serve as the point of contact for production accounting requests and deadlines

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Business field
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word; comfortable working in a Mac environment
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple productions at once
• Strong collaborative and communication skills

Preferred Experience:

• CAPS Pay (training provided if needed)
• Experience in production, entertainment, or project-based accounting
• Familiarity with fast-turn, deadline driven workflows
