Part-Time Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment and is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working across multiple accounting functions while supporting daily business operations.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite and a strong understanding of the Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R) business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and maintain accurate order records within NetSuite.
• Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, cash applications, and customer account maintenance.
• Process vendor invoices, payments, and maintain accounts payable records.
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support financial reporting and account analysis.
• Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with administrative and operational accounting functions as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting/Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP.
• Experience with:
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Record-to-Report (R2R)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in distribution, trucking/logistics, or manufacturing industries.
• Experience with inventory accounting and operational accounting processes.
• Knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices.
