The successful candidate should have experience within an accounting office working directly with clients. Candidate should have recent experience in the areas of individual and business taxation, bookkeeping, payroll taxes, and payroll preparation. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with an existing portfolio of clients and show a willingness to develop new relationships; however, candidates will not be expected to recruit new clients. This position does require in-office time.

The City of Mount Vernon is located approximately 40 miles NE of Columbus and is within 45 minutes of Polaris Parkway. The city is also within 30 to 40 minutes of the future Intel facility opening in Licking County. Mount Vernon is surrounded by rolling hills and is a vibrant, creative community. Knox County is the home to several Colleges and Universities, including Kenyon College, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and Central Ohio Technical College.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
