Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Staff Attorney to join our legal team, committed to advancing justice through comprehensive legal expertise and proactive advocacy. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert legal counsel across a diverse range of practice areas, including immigration law, family law, personal injury law, tribal law and regulations, litigation, and patent law. Mainly personal injury and litigation work. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw, drafting precise legal documents, and representing clients in negotiations and court proceedings. Duties

  • Provide expert legal advice and counsel on complex issues spanning multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and more.
  • Conduct thorough legal research utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
  • Draft comprehensive legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and policy proposals with clarity and precision.
  • Represent clients in negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining professionalism and strategic insight.
  • Manage litigation processes from inception through resolution by preparing case files, coordinating discovery efforts, and supporting courtroom proceedings.
  • Stay current on evolving laws related to tribal regulations, securities laws, workers' compensation statutes, personal injury claims, patent rights, and other relevant fields.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the law office to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs effectively.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Proven experience in multiple legal domains such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, family law, securities regulation, workers' compensation claims or personal injury cases.
  • Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms to gather pertinent legal information efficiently.
  • Excellent writing skills demonstrated through clear legal drafting of briefs, memos, contracts or pleadings.
  • Effective negotiation abilities with a track record of achieving successful client resolutions.
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures from filing through trial or settlement negotiations.
  • Legal administrative experience including managing case files and maintaining detailed records within a busy law office environment.
  • Knowledge of tribal laws & regulations alongside technical expertise in patent law is highly desirable.
