Position Overview

Reconciliation Services, PLLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Remote Auditor to join our growing public accounting team. In this role, you will assist with performing audits of client financial statements while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

This position offers hands-on experience in public accounting and auditing while working alongside senior auditors and managers. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, professional, and eager to grow within the accounting field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing audit engagements for clients across various industries
• Perform substantive testing of account balances and transactions, including vouching, tracing, and analytical procedures
• Prepare and maintain audit workpapers and supporting documentation
• Communicate with clients to request information and clarify audit-related questions
• Identify potential audit issues and communicate findings to senior team members
• Assist in preparing audit reports and recommendations for process improvements
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling client information
• Stay current on accounting and auditing standards and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field — or relevant college coursework in accounting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or prior experience in accounting or auditing is a plus, but not required
• Progress toward CPA certification preferred

Example of the Role

A new team member may begin by assisting with reconciling asset balances and preparing supporting documentation for audit files. As experience grows, they will learn to identify discrepancies, communicate directly with clients, and document audit procedures for review by senior auditors.

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-Time: 20–30 hours per week
