New Payment Flows (NPF) division’s charter is to capture new sources of money movement through card and non-card flows, including Visa Business Solutions, Government Solutions and Visa Direct which presents an enormous growth opportunity. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe. Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.
The Visa Business Solutions (VBS) and Visa Government Solutions (VGS) team is a world-class technology organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand products into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. Essential Functions:
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. Advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 8 years of software development experience (with a concentration in data centric initiatives), with demonstrated expertise in leveraging standard development best practice methodologies
Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in building large-scale applications using open source technologies. Design and coding skills with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Streaming, Kafka, Hive, and Hbase
Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on expertise with Scala
Experience with highly distributed, scalable, concurrent and low latency systems working with one or more of the following database technologies: DB2, MySQL and NoSQL data warehouses such as HBase
Experience working in an Agile and Test Driven Development environment.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated Test tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, Selenium, Chef desirable
Experience with SAS as a statistical package is preferred
Familiarity or experience with data mining and statistical modeling (e.g., regression modeling, clustering techniques, decision trees, etc.) is preferred
Candidates with demonstrated use of generative AI coding tools will be preferred
Experience in building monitoring and alerting (Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog/CloudWatch) for broker health, consumer lag, job failures, and pipeline SLAs.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post mortems, drive preventative improvements
Experience in Kafka streaming implementation for Spark based applications
Perform rapid root cause analysis (RCA) using logs, metrics, traces, and lineage, drive permanent fixes and post mortems with clear action items
Mentor engineers, set best practices, code reviews, and technical standards
Experience with Java would be added advantage.
