Staff Geotechnical Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

The following are required, but not limited to, for the position:

• Conduct and manage geotechnical engineering projects including report preparation and review.
• Perform geotechnical studies, analysis, and design.
• Develop and follow project budgets and schedules.
• Be proficiency in reading and developing construction plans and specifications.
• Lead the preparation of client proposals and cost estimates.
• Lead interactions and meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
• Conduct marketing and business development, including attending short-list interviews as geotechnical expert, reviewing and evaluating RFPs/RFQs to help develop proposals and statement of qualifications.

Skills and Qualifications

• Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering with progression to a professional engineer licensure. Candidates with master's degree and/or MBA will be prioritized in selection.
• 1 to 4+ years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing experience required.
• Candidates with strong communication skills (written and oral), demonstrated managerial and project management experience, and ability to develop positive client relationships are preferred.
• Physical activities including walking through uneven difficult terrain, long spans of standing and ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Up to 10% overnight travel should be anticipated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
