Key Responsibilities:1. Patient Care:
- Monitor, assess, and record patient symptoms and conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Assist doctors during rounds and procedures.
- Maintain infection control and safety protocols at all times.
2. Nursing Procedures:
- Perform IV insertions, catheterizations, dressing changes, and wound care.
- Collect blood, urine, and other specimens for lab tests.
- Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities to physicians.
3. Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to patient needs during emergencies.
- Support in resuscitation, code blue procedures, and shifting critical patients.
4. Equipment Handling:
- Operate medical equipment (ECG, suction, infusion pumps, oxygen therapy).
- Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained.
5. Communication & Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and team members.
- Coordinate with the lab, pharmacy, radiology, and other departments for patient care.
- Handover patient reports clearly during shift changes.
6. Documentation:
- Maintain nursing notes, medication charts, consent forms, and incident reports.
- Ensure accurate discharge summaries and reports are filed.
7. Patient Education:
- Educate patients and families about disease management, medication, hygiene, and post-discharge care.
8. Ward Management:
- Maintain cleanliness, stock levels of medications and consumables.
- Assist in inventory control and order placement for the nursing station.
Eligibility Criteria:
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse with the respective State Nursing Council.
- 0–5 years of experience in a hospital setting (freshers can be considered with training).
