Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of patients' health status, including monitoring vital signs and symptoms.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accurate dosages and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing necessary interventions and coordinating with the healthcare team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including observations, treatments, and responses to care.
- Safety & Infection Control: Identify potential hazards, implement safety protocols, and adhere to infection control standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc) or an Associate Degree in Nursing (GNM).
- Licensure: Valid registration with the appropriate nursing board or council.
- Experience: Clinical experience in a healthcare setting is often required; specific experience may be needed based on the role.
