Job Summary:
The Nursing Supervisor oversees and coordinates nursing staff activities to ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and compliance with hospital policies. This role involves supervising nursing operations during shifts, guiding staff, resolving issues, and ensuring effective communication between patients, families, doctors, and the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise daily nursing activities across assigned units/wards.
- Allocate duties and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Monitor performance and provide guidance to nursing staff.
- Patient Care & Safety
- Ensure delivery of quality nursing care according to established protocols.
- Handle patient complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor infection control practices and adherence to safety standards.
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain proper documentation (reports, incident logs, staff attendance, handover notes).
- Assist in audits, NABH/JCI/other accreditation compliance.
- Ensure availability of medical supplies, drugs, and equipment.
- Staff Development
- Train, mentor, and counsel nurses for professional growth.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training programs.
- Conduct performance appraisals in coordination with Nursing Superintendent.
- Emergency & Crisis Management
- Act as the first point of contact for emergencies during the shift.
- Coordinate with doctors and multidisciplinary teams for critical cases.
- Ensure proper escalation of incidents to higher authorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
