Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in our hospital. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, assisting doctors during examinations and procedures, administering medications, and ensuring a safe and healing environment for all patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical competence, empathy, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients as per physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and monitor patient reactions and progress.
- Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and medical information accurately.
- Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and safety at all times.
- Prepare and maintain patient files, charts, and nursing documentation.
- Ensure timely communication with doctors and supervisors regarding patient condition changes.
- Perform wound dressing, catheterization, IV line insertion, and other nursing procedures.
- Maintain infection control and sterilization standards in wards and treatment areas.
- Educate patients and their families about health maintenance and post-discharge care.
- Support emergency procedures and assist in handling critical care patients when required.
- Participate in training, continuous education, and quality improvement programs.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. / GNM in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration / license (as per local health authority or Nursing Council).
- Minimum [1–3] years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting (freshers may also apply).
- Sound knowledge of nursing principles, clinical practices, and hospital protocols.
- Excellent patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple patients.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position; may require rotational shifts, weekends, and night duties.
- Exposure to clinical environments, infectious materials, and medical equipment (protective gear provided).
