STAFF NURSE – Roles & Responsibilities (As per NABH Standards)1. Patient Care Responsibilities
- Provide safe, ethical, and quality nursing care as per hospital protocols.
- Perform admission, transfer, and discharge procedures as per NABH guidelines.
- Ensure correct patient identification with two identifiers.
- Maintain privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs; report abnormalities immediately.
- Administer medications following 6 Rights of Medication Administration.
- Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergencies.
2. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing records.
- Ensure NABH-compliant documentation such as care plans, charts, and consent forms.
- Document all care provided and report any change in patient condition.
3. Infection Prevention & Control
- Follow all IPC protocols including hand hygiene and PPE usage.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
- Report infections, needle-stick injuries, and near-miss incidents.
4. Patient & Family Education
- Educate patients regarding treatment, diet, medications, and procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation of patient education.
5. Safety & Quality
- Follow NABH safety standards such as fall prevention, pressure sore management, fire and equipment safety.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement, and incident reporting.
6. Emergency & Code Response
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
- Practice BLS/ACLS protocols.
- Participate in hospital mock drills (Code Blue, Red, Disaster Drill).
7. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with doctors and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide accurate handover and takeover reports.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families.
8. Ethical & Professional Conduct
- Follow hospital policies and nursing ethical standards.
- Maintain punctuality, discipline, and professional behavior.
- Ensure safe use and maintenance of hospital equipment.
9. Training & Competency
- Attend in-service training, CME programs, and competency assessments.
- Upgrade knowledge and follow standard nursing protocols.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
