Patient Care
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients as per physician’s orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and report abnormalities promptly.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments safely and accurately.
- Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergency situations.
- Ensure proper patient positioning, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort.
2. Clinical Documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing records, medication charts, intake-output charts, and progress notes.
- Ensure proper handover during shift changes.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
3. Infection Control & Safety
- Follow hospital infection control policies, biomedical waste management, and universal precautions.
- Ensure proper sterilization and cleanliness of patient care areas.
- Adhere strictly to patient safety protocols and incident reporting systems.
4. Equipment & Medication Management
- Check availability and functioning of medical equipment in the ward/department.
- Ensure proper storage, usage, and documentation of medicines and consumables.
- Report shortages, damages, or malfunctions immediately.
5. Patient & Attendant Communication
- Educate patients and attendants about care procedures, medications, and post-treatment instructions.
- Address patient concerns politely and escalate issues when required.
6. Coordination & Teamwork
- Coordinate with doctors, pharmacists, lab technicians, and other healthcare staff for effective patient care.
- Follow instructions from nursing supervisors and comply with hospital policies.
- Participate in training programs, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
7. Ethical & Professional Conduct
- Maintain professional behavior, discipline, and punctuality.
- Wear prescribed uniform and identification badge during duty hours.
- Uphold ethical nursing practices and respect patient dignity at all times.
