Job Summary:
The CCU Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients with acute cardiac conditions such as myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-cardiac procedures. The nurse is responsible for continuous monitoring, timely interventions, and collaborative care to ensure optimal recovery and safety of critically ill cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to cardiac patients in critical condition.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and report abnormalities promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications, including IV infusions, inotropes, anticoagulants, and emergency drugs.
- Assist with cardiac procedures such as thrombolysis, temporary pacing, angioplasty preparation, and post-procedure care.
- Provide continuous cardiac monitoring using telemetry and respond promptly to arrhythmias or emergencies.
- Ensure timely assessment, care planning, and documentation in patient records.
2. Emergency Response
- Act promptly in life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest or arrhythmias, performing CPR and following ACLS protocols.
- Prepare and operate advanced life-support equipment such as defibrillators, ventilators, and infusion pumps.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team during emergencies and codes.
3. Communication and Collaboration
- Work closely with cardiologists, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment plans, progress, and post-discharge instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality and provide emotional support to patients and relatives.
4. Infection Control and Safety
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, maintaining aseptic techniques during all procedures.
- Ensure a safe environment by checking equipment functionality and reporting malfunctions promptly.
- Follow hospital policies for waste disposal and patient safety.
5. Education and Training
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training in critical care and cardiac nursing.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Mentor and guide junior staff and nursing students in CCU practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Diploma / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- License: Valid Nursing Council registration.
- Minimum 2-4years of experience in critical care or CCU preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong interest in cardiac critical care may be considered.
- Proficiency in ECG interpretation and emergency cardiac care.
- Knowledge of ACLS/BLS protocols.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.88 per month
