Job Title: Staff Nurse – Labour Room (LDR)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Staff Nurse for the Labour Delivery Room (LDR) who can handle maternity cases confidently and provide quality care to mothers and newborns. The candidate should be skilled in managing normal deliveries, assisting doctors during procedures, and handling emergency situations in the labour room.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal patients.
• Prepare and maintain Labour Delivery Room for normal and assisted deliveries.
• Assist gynecologists/obstetricians during deliveries and procedures.
• Monitor fetal heart rate, maternal vital signs, and labour progress.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed by the doctor.
• Handle emergency cases calmly and efficiently.
• Provide immediate newborn care after delivery.
• Maintain proper documentation of patient records and labour notes.
• Ensure infection control protocols and sterilization standards are maintained.
• Educate mothers regarding breastfeeding and post-delivery care.
• Coordinate with NICU/OT staff in case of emergency referrals.

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing (Mandatory).
• Registration: Valid State Nursing Council Registration (Mandatory).
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Labour Room / LDR preferred.
• Freshers with strong clinical training in maternity care may also be considered.

Required Skills:

• Good clinical knowledge in obstetrics and maternity care.
• Ability to handle labour cases independently.
• Quick decision-making skills during emergencies.
• Good communication and patient counselling skills.
• Responsible, attentive, and compassionate attitude.

Working Hours:

Rotational shifts (Day/Night) as per hospital policy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹17,623.13 - ₹28,508.17 per month
