Providing specialized care to newborns, particularly those who are premature, critically ill, or have birth complications, by monitoring their health, administering treatments, and operating medical equipment like incubators. A key part of the role involves educating and supporting parents through frequent communication, answering questions, and teaching them about their baby's care. Neonatal nurses also collaborate with other healthcare professionals, maintain patient records, and assist in high-risk deliveries. Key responsibilities

  • Patient care: Provide direct, specialized nursing care to newborns in units like the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), from immediate post-birth stabilization to ongoing management.
  • Monitoring and assessment: Continuously monitor vital signs, administer treatments, perform tests, and evaluate patient responses, documenting all findings accurately.
  • Medical procedures: Perform medical procedures such as inserting IV lines, administering medications, and operating and maintaining advanced medical equipment.
  • Family support and education: Provide emotional support to parents and families, educate them on basic infant care (like feeding and hygiene), and answer their questions about their baby's condition and health.
  • Team collaboration: Work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including neonatologists, midwives, and respiratory therapists, to develop and implement care plans.
  • Emergency assistance: Respond to medical emergencies and perform life-saving treatments such as resuscitation and defibrillation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
