Core Responsibilities

1. Occupational Health & Medical Care

  • Provide first aid, emergency medical care, and basic nursing services to employees.
  • Monitor and manage work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Coordinate referrals to hospitals or specialists when required.
  • Maintain medical observation and follow-up for injured or ill employees.

2. Health Surveillance & Medical Records

  • Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations as per statutory norms.
  • Maintain and update employee medical records confidentially.
  • Track occupational diseases and report findings to management.
  • Ensure proper documentation as per Factory Act / statutory requirements.

3. Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Act as first responder during workplace emergencies.
  • Assist in emergency drills (fire, chemical exposure, accidents, etc.).
  • Maintain emergency medical equipment, first aid boxes, and medicines.
  • Coordinate with EHS, security, and external emergency services.

4. Health Promotion & Wellness Programs

  • Conduct health awareness sessions (hygiene, ergonomics, lifestyle diseases, stress management).
  • Support vaccination and health screening programs.
  • Promote healthy work practices and preventive healthcare.

5. Compliance & Statutory Support

  • Ensure compliance with occupational health laws and regulations.
  • Support audits and inspections related to health and safety.
  • Assist management in implementing OHS policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports for statutory authorities when required.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with HR, EHS, and department heads on health-related matters.
  • Guide employees on medical fitness, leave due to illness, and return-to-work cases.
  • Maintain professional communication with employees, doctors, and hospitals.

7. Hygiene & Workplace Safety Support

  • Monitor workplace hygiene, sanitation, and canteen hygiene (if applicable).
  • Identify health hazards and report potential risks.
  • Support ergonomic assessments and workplace improvements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
