Description: Under the direction of the Senior UX Manager, the Staff Product Designer will drive strategic design initiatives across ImageTrend’s product ecosystem. This role will lead discovery efforts, shape product vision, and ensure design excellence across multiple products, making a significant impact on the user experience and overall product success.

What You'll Do:

  • Define and lead design strategy across product lines, aligning with business goals and user needs.
  • Own the end-to-end design process from framing ambiguous problems to delivering polished solutions.
  • Lead definition and discovery phases, guiding teams through uncertainty to clarity and actionable direction.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration and design advocacy, partnering with product, engineering, and subject matter experts to shape product vision and execution. Represent design intent and feasibility across teams and executive forums, driving alignment and strategic impact.
  • Lead accessibility and inclusive design strategy, embedding standards into team workflows and shaping organization-wide initiatives. Champion usability validation and research integration to inform product strategy, ensuring compliance and equitable user experiences.
  • Champion user-centered design and help elevate design maturity across the organization.
  • Shape and evolve the design system and standards to support scalability and consistency, ensuring quality and alignment across products.
  • Lead research strategy and synthesis, translating insights into journey maps, service blueprints, and experience models that connect siloed experiences into cohesive workflows. Facilitate strategic workshops and reviews to align teams and influence product direction.
  • Lead experience modeling and map systems through research, applying service design frameworks to create scalable UI patterns and workflows.
  • Align systems across teams and define platform-level experience strategy, managing system adoption and consistency.
  • Build and document reusable UI components, evolving design system standards and leading system governance.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Figma, prototyping, and design handoff, and implement WCAG-compliant UI components.
  • Synthesize insights and mentor teams, telling compelling stories that influence product vision and strategic planning.
  • Foster a culture of growth and excellence through mentorship, professional development, and team leadership. Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management to build a high-impact design team.
  • Travel to orientation, industry or company events, or other onsite meetings as required
  • Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

2. Proven professional work experience designing user-centric digital products, ideally in regulated domains such as healthcare, emergency services, or public sector software.

3. Established track record of leading strategic design initiatives and shipping impactful solutions.

4. Subject matter expert in systems thinking and designing for interconnected product ecosystems.

5. Experience in operating in ambiguity and guiding teams through complex problem spaces, especially during definition and discovery phases.

6. Subject Matter Expert of Figma, design systems, and modern UX tooling, with experience defining and scaling design infrastructure.

7. Skilled in service design frameworks and experience with qualitative research methods.

8. Strong storytelling, facilitation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence executive and strategic planning.

9. Proven experience in accessibility and compliance, embedding standards and shaping organizational strategy.

10. Demonstrated ability to drive org-wide alignment, build cross-functional partnerships, and connect siloed product experiences into cohesive workflows.

11. Experience mentoring other designers and contributing to peer review processes.

12. Skilled in accessibility (WCAG) and compliance design.

13. Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills, especially in systems thinking, service design frameworks, and qualitative research methods.

14. Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information.

15. Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration, and team orientation.

16. Ability to work in-office on a hybrid basis as required.

17. Ability to travel as required, up to 25%.

Position Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this full-time role is $105,000 - $145,000 USD + bonus + benefits + perks + community gains. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
