About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and highly experienced Staff Product Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our products, driving design excellence, and delivering delightful customer experiences. You will lead design initiatives across vertical and horizontal projects, collaborating closely with cross functional teams to ensure a cohesive and impactful user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Web3 Design Initiatives: Define, own, and deliver end to end design for core decentralized services, DApps, and protocols.
• Collaborate Across the Chain: Work tightly with engineering and protocol teams to understand technical constraints on blockchains such as Ethereum, Solana, and Layer 2s.
• Advocate for Decentralized Design Systems: Champion a flexible yet robust design system that supports rapid Web3 innovation while handling high security interfaces.
• Prototype with Precision & Speed: Rapidly design, prototype, and test new features focused on reducing friction in Web3 flows (wallet connection, transaction signing, gas fees, seed phrase security).
• Mentor and Grow the Guild: Guide Product Designers on designing for decentralization, including education, security, and the psychological impact of self custody.
• Make it feel native: Create a seamless experience between Crypto and FIAT withdrawals for Deel workers.
• Drive Clarity from Cryptic Complexity: Translate complex cryptographic concepts into crystal clear user narratives and interfaces.
• Outstanding Communication and Community Facilitation: Bring people together-from anonymous users to core developers-through inspiring design and clear narratives.

Requirements: Your Web3 Toolkit

• Deep Passion for Decentralization: Genuine, deep seated passion for Web3 and true digital ownership.
• Extensive Design Experience: 7-9 years as a Product Designer, with at least 2 years leading as a Staff Product Designer (or equivalent).
• Data Informed Design in an Anonymous World: Rooted in experimentation, qualitative data, protocol analytics, and on chain metrics.
• Comfortable with High Stakes Ambiguity: Ability to drive clarity and quality solutions in a constantly changing ecosystem.
• Balances User Ownership and Protocol Requirements: Empower users while ensuring protocol integrity and security.
• Strong Communicator and Educator: Translate complex blockchain mechanics for mainstream audiences.
• Mentorship Experience: Proven track record of guiding designers through decentralized design challenges.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Embedded work with blockchain engineers and smart contract developers.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid knowledge of Crypto, DeFi, and digital asset management.

Nice to Have

• Web3 Specific Expertise: Proven experience designing high stakes interfaces for wallets and DeFi platforms.
