Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role requires proficiency in various nursing practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Staff Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across multiple settings, including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient services.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform critical procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, catheterization, and airway management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EHR systems.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health management and treatment options.
  • Participate in discharge planning and case management to ensure continuity of care.
  • Uphold infection control standards while performing procedures such as specimen collection and sterile processing.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and NCQA standards is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support protocols.
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $38.77 - $70.00 per hour
