The Core Immunology Lab (CIL) is a fee-for-service core facility that supports clinical and translational research. CIL is housed within the UCSF Division of Experimental Medicine (DEM) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General and further supported by the Center for AIDS Research (CFAR).
The Core Immunology Laboratory provides specimen processing support for studies of the pathogenesis and treatment of HIV/AIDS and other immune disorders; training and education in flow cytometric and immune-based assays, and development, optimization and standardization of new assays for Clinical Research studies. As part of the UCSF Core Immunology Laboratory at ZSFG, the incumbent will primarily be performing lymphocyte isolation and cryopreservation from blood and tissue biopsies under GCLP and basic flow cytometry. As the incumbent successfully learns specimen processing, she/he may be taught other genomics, proteomics, and cellular assay procedures in the laboratory including enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, single cell cDNA preparation, advanced flow cytometer operation and analysis of flow cytometry data. This position will fulfill the need for additional technical support for on-going and planned studies. In addition, this position will provide support to industry collaborations.

The Division of Experimental Medicine is a translational, wet lab research unit comprised of 8 immunological research groups consisting of 10 faculty members and 65+ staff, trainees, and post-docs. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $28.04 - $45.09 (Hourly Rate).
