If you answered "YES" to these questions, the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Support Division's Systems Support Section may be the place for you. We are looking for a positive, customer-focused analyst that will support staff using the UI program's information systems and technology.
As a UI Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for: supporting users in the operation of the UI program's systems; auditing system access reports to ensure proper use and access privileges; collaborating with partner areas, especially the Information Technology Branch; troubleshooting and triaging technical issues; utilizing project management principles; and leading or participating on various automation project teams in support of the UI program.

**Telework is currently available; Employees are required to report to their headquarters office. Successful candidates will be able to choose their headquarters office from one of the available field offices located in Sacramento, Anaheim, Oakland, San Bernardino, or San Jose, with the possibility of another office in the future. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Travel and/or accommodation expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.**

Working Conditions

This position is located in downtown Sacramento; However alternate statewide UI Center work locations may be considered.
Currently, employees have a hybrid work schedule and home internet is required for telework. Due to operational needs, employees may be required at any given time to report to work at their assigned EDD headquarters.Minimum Requirements

Background Investigation Requirement
The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation. However, applicants will not be asked to provide information about a conviction history unless they receive a conditional offer of employment.
The department will make an individualized assessment of whether the conviction history has a direct or adverse relationship with the specific duties of the job and the work performed by the department. The department will consider potential mitigating factors, including, but not limited to, evidence and extent of rehabilitation, recency, nature and seriousness, and age at the time of the offense(s).
The investigation will consist of completion of a personal history statement and fingerprinting checks with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice, and/or local law enforcement agencies. Anyone failing to pass the background investigation will be provided information on how to appeal the process. A criminal conviction may not result in an automatic determination of "Not Qualified."
