Staff Software Engineer, Virtual Networking

India

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems and software.
Experience with C++, networking, packet forwarding architecture, system design, systems infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with Cloud Networking, TCP/IP, software-defined networking.
Experience with packet forwarding and handling, multicast, SmartNICs and high performance data path designs and implementations.
Experience in leading teams and projects.

Responsibilities

Architect, design and implement data path engines a core component running within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Virtual Machines (VMs).
Provide technical leadership to multiple data path application teams. Work with team leads and managers for individual projects to help determine roadmaps, architecture, designs and deliverables.
Design, develop and create the USPS engines, the heart of our data path applications.
Own and lead customer visible cloud multicast, Machine Learning (ML) networking capabilities. Innovate and contribute to a project with huge potential for cloud and ML networking.
Support internal and external customers on issues they face, and guidance for individual teams in this endeavor.
